Purchasing a Wirehaired Pointing GriffonIf you are interested in getting a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, please do your research before considering. This Breed is not meant for everyone. High energy breed, needs lots of socialization as a puppy (not the dog park) They need a home that is able to let them run off leash to get maximum amount of exercise. Hunting Homes are preferred!
Puppies are REQUIRED to achieve the NA (Natural Ability Test) with NAVDHA before 16 months old. Families will need to join your local NAVDHA Chapter before puppies go home. There's other great ways to put them to work. scent work, obedience, dock diving, agility, tracking. All our Griffons are AKC and NAVDHA registered and have their OFAs done (thyroid, hip and elbow x-rays, eye exams, and Heart. Puppies will be sold with (Limited Registration) only. Registering your puppy with AKC is required before going home. There is a Contract that will need to be signed before going home. A Non-refundable deposit of $350 is required to hold your spot for a puppy once Puppies are Born. Picks are done in the order of deposits received and when they are 5-6 weeks old.. The remaining $2,150.00+ Maine tax is due before pups go to their new homes. Total Price after tax is $2,637.50 Tails are docked and dew claws removed @ 3days old by our Licensed Vet. They will be Health checked, first set of shots and microchipped by our Vet, deworming will be done regularly. They will be sent home with a clean bill of health. Pups will be fed Pro-Form (by poulin grain) and will be sent home with their own little bag.. We will also be working with them on their different surroundings and sounds they may encounter in their new homes. We will also be introducing them to quail (when available)to work on their hunting abilities and hunt drive.. They are raised in our home, interacting and Handled daily by our kids, and others dogs.. |
